Session 2 Day 11

Soo a bit of a plot twist today… it turns out that the mountain wanted us to end on an unexpected note. After getting dressed, packed, and loaded into the cars this morning (Jude B. even left his back protector in the car), word came from the mountain that they were closed for the day. We got to go back to the house and laze around for a while between packing and snacking! The coaches made good on yesterday’s promise for a movie, and took us to watch Inside Out 2. They surprised us with a Fred Meyer’s snack run beforehand, and we are all always excited for a Fred Meyer’s run (we need one in Michigan). Today was a nice, quiet, and uneventful off day. It provided a nice day for packing and getting everything together. We are all sad for our last night together this summer :(.

"My daughter has skied with JP nearly her entire racing career, since she was a pre-teen. He is an exceptional ski coach, and an outstanding human being. Everything he does is at the highest level, and with the most attention to detail. JP’s experience in delivering high level race camps translates beautifully to his youth ski program. The athletes need only spend a week on the hill with him to see their personal ski goals met. The best part is that JP‘s heart is in everything he does, and he takes care of the athletes as if they were his own. His word is gold. Just like his coaching. We think the world of him."
