HILLTOP ALPINE RACING TEAM
We at HART follow a theory of training that is three prong. Gateless Training, Gated Training and Directed Free Skiing. We start out with skill acquisition with the athlete repeating the newly acquired skill correctly to ingrain the movement. During Gate training athletes are applying those those skills at the most fundamental levels in short rhythmic courses. Once the athlete is applying the fundamentals correctly we progress to longer varied courses. Once a level of execution is reached we then move them into timed race simulated runs. During directed free skiing there is nothing off limits. From the groomers to the steeps, to the jumps or the ravens they all play a crucial roll. During this time all the fundamentals are discussed and refined as well. Our goal is to give all our athletes all the skills needed to embrace a lifetime sport while giving them the skills and enjoyment of racing.
